Hi, I’m Nicholas: Wisconsin wedding photographer with a fine art degree and a decade and a half of storytelling.
Photography is my medium.
I never set out to be a photographer. My B.F.A. trained me to see light, color, and negative space the way painters see canvas. Turns out I’m a gear junky because the camera is fast enough to catch fleeting emotion and honest enough to keep the moment intact.
Relevant moments.
- 2008 – Received Alumni Scholarship: Won Juried Exhibition.
- 2010 – Bachelor of Fine Arts from UW-Milwaukee
- 2011 – Purchased a camera & light kit to catalog my own art
- 2012 – Started to photograph local artists
- 2013 – Shot my first wedding and began doing portraits (paid)
- 2014 – Registered Nikon Professional
- 2014 – Wedding photography became primary income
- 2015 – Accepted into Wedding Photojournalists Association
- 2016 – First national publication: The Huffington Post
- 2019 – Full time wedding photographer
- 2023 – Start of a two year sabbatical to Australia getting back to artistic roots
- 2025 – Moved back to the USA in summer to start booking weddings in 2026
